Waiting On God (pt. 1)

 I wanted to share an experience that happened to one of my best friends in high school. He was 16 years old and in high school when this happened. My friend  fell in love with a girl. She was pretty and and he always told me she was his other half. Every day in school he would talk to me about her. He would tell me how much he loved her, that he wanted to marry her already, and have a family with her. I will never forget how his eyes lit up every time he talked about her. 
  
       So, what happened? One day in our algebra class, he told me this, "Claudia, look here is a picture of her. Isn't she beautiful?" "I decided this is the person I am going to marry". "She and I were talking and we really want to have a baby together". When he mentioned the baby part, I stopped him. I told him, "having a baby is beautiful thing. A baby is a gift from God, but right now you are in high school and so is she. Right now, focus on yourselves, finish school, get a job, plan your careers for the future, and at the right moment get married and have all the kids you want. He nodded to what I had told him, but I could see in his eyes that what I said went in one ear and came out the other. Weeks passed by and one day in our class, he looked so worried and kept checking on his phone. I asked him, "What's going on? Your not the same lately". He told me, "Claudia, I am very worried. My girlfriend has been throwing up a lot lately and she looks very sick. Right now she is at the doctor's to find out what is going on".  After he told me that, I hit the palm of my  hand on my forehead and said, "please don't tell me...". He stopped me and said, "Claudia, I think she is pregnant".
