Every time we go to church and participate in one of the services, there is always that Word, phrase or example that stays with us. I remember in the last event we participated in, at the very end of the service, after the message and after the prayer, the pastor said one sentence that I took home with me. He said, "God chooses those who fall. So, that when they get up they can tell others where God took them from and where they are now". God makes use of our falls and our past to save the souls around us. So, when we see others fallen, we can tell them with complete conviction, "If God picked me up and uses me, He will do the same with you".
A lot of times we fall into the idea that being of God, demands perfection. Yes, every day we seek to perfect ourselves through Him, but we cannot forget that we are human. There will be times that we will fall. Times that we will make mistakes. But those falls help us grow, mature, and give us the condition to help others. Just think about it. Some of the greatest pastors and pastor's wives help save marriages. Why? Because at one point, they were facing problems in their marriage, but through their experience, they are able to help couples today. Yes or no? And there are many other examples.
The devil will put in your mind that you are no longer useful to God. He will tell you that the rest of your life is useless. That you are a lost cause. You are going to be left to the side and replaced by someone else. He will even put in your mind that if you make a single mistake you are not of God. If you make mistakes, you are unworthy of God. The list goes on. But whenever these thoughts come to your mind, remember this verse:
. . . for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble
when calamity strikes.
Proverbs 24.16
Those of God are not the ones that never fall, but those who if they fall, they get back up. God is counting on you. He wants to use your flaws, your past to inspire and help others get back up. You have two options. You can either stay down, cry and mourn about what happened and be one more that fell. Or, you can surrender your fall, wipe your tears and get back up. "Oh, but Claudia its hard". I never said it was going to be easy. But every time you feel like giving up, remember that your victory will save souls the day of tomorrow. Your story will be the reason for others to get back up too.
How will you be remembered? For your fall? Or, for your testimony?
Think About It.
