Born of the World or Born of God?

But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruitsof all he created.
                                                            James 1.14-18

Here, God talks about two different kinds of birth and we can use this comparison to find out if we are born of God or if we are still children of this world.

What are the characteristics of a baby? When a baby is formed in the womb of the mother; the baby develops eyes. These eyes are genetically formed to match the DNA of its mother and father. Do ours match our Father's? Do they see through His eyes which are spiritual?  Or do we see through the world's eyes which are lustful, envious, prideful and self-seeking?
The brain is formed and molded during the pregnancy. Is our mind set on earthly things as the bible says, or spiritual things? Do we share the mind of Christ or is our mind filled with perverse thoughts? When a baby a born it recognizes the voice of its mother and father. Have our ears been sensitive to hear and discern between God's voice and the devil's? Our mouth is also formed during the pregnancy. When a baby is born, the parents slowly teach the baby how to pronounce words and what to speak. What has come out of our lips? Have our words been like our Father's? Have we spoken as if it was the Lord Jesus speaking Himself like His word says? Or have our words been provoking, prideful, offensive, etc?

Another part of the body that is formed during the pregnancy is the heart. Is our heart compatible with God's? Do we share the same intention of the heart as God? Which is to save souls or is our intention of personal gain?

Those born of God, born of the truth,  in this verse above are considered the Tithe of God which is referred to as the first fruits. The Tithe, as we have learned, is something that is sacred, separated, something that belongs to God that no one can touch. When we present our Tithe we are showing our faithfulness to God. We are a knowledge that He is firs in our life. Have we been the Tithe of God? Because we know that those who are the Tithe have the abundance of God in thier life as it is written in the book of Malachi. Those who are born of God, are the Tithe. Those born of the world do not worry about presenting thier tithe and if they do, they simply present money.

Have I been a child born of this world or born of God? When a baby is born, the people around him/her say, Wow, the baby looks like his mom or dad. Yes or no? When people look at us, do they see Him?

Think about it.
