I was meditating on Bishop's Macedo's blog where he talked about exchanging the certain, for the uncertain:

I was thinking to myself, If the great hereos of the Bible would not have made that exchange, that trade, they would have left no story behind. They would have continued living their everyday normal life and would have never seen the wonders of God.
Right now we are preparing ourselves for the desert, seeking the Holy Spirit. However, the question is, have you made that exchange? Are you willing to trade the certain for the uncertain? Give up what your eyes see, for what you cannot? For example, to receive the Holy Spirit:
- Are you willing to sacrifice a friendship or a boyfriend to receive someone you cannot see?
- Are you willing to fight against your flesh to forgive that person who hurt you, willing to take out that hate, so the love of God can come in?
- Are you willing to sacrifice your memories of the past, and all the baggage that you've been carrying around, to conquer your future?
- Are you willing to sacrfice hours of sleep, so you can stay up to seek the Holy Spirit?
- Are you willing to sacrifice your personal dreams/goals to discover God's dreams for your life?
Only those who believe in the promise of the Holy Spirit, those who live by the Abrahamic faith, are willing to exchange the certain for the uncertain.
Think About It
