PREPARING THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: THE WHEAT

Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.  Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.  Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father    will honor the one who serves me.
   --John 12.24-26

It's amazing how the little things in life can teach us about the great wonders of God. The Lord Jesus sacrificed his life on the cross, and when he died for us, through him,  everyone has the opportunity to be saved. One life, saves millions today. And if we think about it, the wheat is a perfect example of how we will be when the Holy Spirit comes upon us.
We are like this wheat. When we die in this world, when we sacrifice ourselves, we multiply in God's field. We begin to save those around us and become like a field of wheat in God's Kingdom. However, if the old "you" does not die, you will remain like a single seed. A seed with so much potential, with so much to give, yet sterile. One more living in this world, without a great story.

God does not want to give you His Spirit, for you to just wear it like a t-shirt. He wants to give us His Spirit, so we can multiply His Kingdom. So we can give to others, what we have received. So, we can be true followers of the Lord Jesus.
Why else do you think that the Lord Jesus instructed the disciples to not leave Jerusalem until they received the Gift that God had promised? Because he knew, that without it, they would not be able to carry out the task that God had given to each of them. If he sacrificed his life, so all of us could be saved, could it be that we can be great instruments of God, without doing the same?

Think About It.

Until tomorrow, God Bless!
