But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,
it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Galatians 3.11
Many times we think that because we're ushers, evangelists, pastors, members of the youth group, or do acts of kindness to others, etc., that we automatically will be rewarded in our financial life, in our love life, or in our family. Here in the world, these blessings/ promises of God, are conquered by the use of our faith.
For example, when a Bishop or Pastor is trying to open a church. They face many difficulties and obstacles. So, couldn't God just make it easy to open up a church if it is for Him? Negative. He allows us to face situations so we can manifest our faith in Him. And when we live by faith we are living in dependence of the Holy Spirit.
The bible says that the just live by faith, and the day we stop living by our faith we are at risk of losing our own salvation. Think about it. The Just live by faith, so the opposite will die because of doubt. When we don't manifest our faith it is because we do not believe. Those who believe jump in head first. You can be an usher but if you do not use your faith, you will not conquer the promises of God. If you thought that by serving God you would receive something, then think again.
It is the same way with the Holy Spirit. We cannot feel Him nor see Him. That is why He is not conquered by any other method that is not through faith. If you do not use your faith, you will never receive the Holy Spirit. You will not receive Him because of your works that you do here on earth, you will receive Him because it is a promise of God. There are many promises of God in the bible, but to conquer the greatest promise of God, which is His Spirit there has to be a manifestation of Faith.
When we have faith we sacrifice. When we have faith we obey. When we have faith we don't need to feel anything. When we have faith we SURRENDER OURSELVES 100%. Yes or no? Or does a person risk their life in something unless they KNOW that it will function?
When we go to this event on May 16th, we cannot have any doubt because that doubt will nuetralize your faith. And without faith, you will not conquer what you seek.
SELF CHECK:
When I seek the Holy Spirit, what have been my doubts?
What can I do to use my faith and receive the Holy Spirit?
Simple, DOUBT YOUR DOUBTS. When you are seeking the Holy Spirit, if there are accusations, things that cause you to doubt, then confess them and surrender those weaknesses to God. Think about it: If God, the only person I have to give explanations to, forgives me for my sins, do I really care what the devil says or thinks about me? (It's kind of funny if we really think about it.)
What if the devil says I do not deserve the Holy Spirit because of my past or flaws? Say AMEN because we do not receive the Holy Spirit because we deserve Him, but because He promised. If this were the case, no one would have the Holy Spirit.
What can I do to manifest my faith, so that I will receive the Holy Spirit? The Word of God says "seek and your shall find". If you want to receive Him, look for Him. Seek to call God's attention. Don't be just one more seeking. Do what others are not doing. Mark proposals of prayer, fasting, prepare a special offering; go in your faith!
If you want the Holy Spirit, the Promise of God, then use your faith to conquer Him.
Until tomorrow, God Bless!
